The Malayalam Kerala Association (MKA) was founded by a small group of Malayali families in Mississauga who wanted their kids to grow up around the same festivals, food, and language they did — Onam without the flight home, Vishu without missing work the next day.
Today MKA runs cultural celebrations, youth and language programs, and community support for Malayali families settling into Peel Region and the wider GTA, all organized by volunteers from the community itself.
Every event is priced and planned to be accessible — no family is turned away for a membership fee.
Language circles, classical arts, and festival traditions are passed on deliberately, not left to chance.
MKA is volunteer-led and not-for-profit. Dues and sponsorships go straight back into programs.
